The heart and exercise
Dr Agaston reports in March 2010 Prevention Magazine that Interval Training, total-body, nonimpact sports and weight training ranks the best types of exercise with him. Interval training for it’s benefit to both the heart and overall health. It continuously raises and lowers your heart rate and improves vascular function, burns calories and makes the body more efficient at clearing fat and sugar from the blood. With total-body, nonimpact sports – the more muscles involved in an activity, the harder the heart must work to fuel them all, so it grows stronger itself and weight training is a type of interval training.
